ROSEMARY'S STORY:
Hello, my name is Rosemary Woodward and I’m the Owner/Broker of a boutique real estate office in Palm Desert, CA. It’s called BELLA ROSA REALTY. Everyone’s story of how they got into the Real Estate business is different. Would you like to hear mine?
After graduating from Cal State Long Beach in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, I moved to the desert and became a Parks and Recreation Director. Within a year I became a Recreation Therapist for Angel View Crippled Children's Hospital in Desert Hot Springs. Without a doubt, that position was the most profound and rewarding in my 15 year recreation career.
In 1981 I left Angel View and started a private swim lessons company called "Woodward's Swim Instruction.” For the next ten years I worked throughout the desert teaching water safety to young children and toddlers, and water exercise classes to adults. Since swim lessons were held in my clients’ community swimming pools, I had a unique opportunity to become familiar with all the desert cities, a large number of developments, and most of the country clubs. I attribute a lot of my knowledge of the desert’s developments and communities to the extensive traveling I did during that time.
In 1991, I decided to go into Real Estate. My new career choice was a terrible idea, according to some. Prices were dropping, foreclosures were rising and it was tough to make a living. But I was determined to make it happen and landed a position as assistant to a broker who specialized in marketing bank foreclosures!
28 years later, I still live in the desert and I’m still in Real Estate! In 2001, I started my own office, Bella Rosa Realty. I’ve experienced good, strong high markets and weathered two recessions. I definitely consider myself to be a "seasoned professional!" I know that selling a home and/or purchasing a new one can be extremely stressful. Most people do it less than six times in their entire lives. It is overwhelming with so many things to do and so much information to go through. My agents and I work hard to ensure that the process is smooth and as manageable as possible for our clients. At Bella Rosa Realty, we’re all looking forward to helping you!
